Yes, I know God. Really. A friend of mine writes these posts - To You, Love God - and they are incredible. This particular note from God came to me just a few days ago, exactly when I needed to hear it. How does that happen? You know what I'm talking about . . . those times when something is bothering you, or you are down on yourself or someone else, and a message comes to you from out of no where, reminding you of who you really are, of what you are learning from your experience, of what you are supposed to do to move forward. It's crazy.
The To You, Love God message in the above link is about what you should do when you take a step back. It's about leaving behind those thoughts, people, memories, that no longer serve you, those ones that seem to pull us back, bring us down. It's about gently releasing them. It's about moving forward, if even with the tiniest of steps, and taking with you those thoughts, people, memories, that support and inspire you.
Wow. Just knowing that I, little Grace, have the such power inside of me blows me away! I have the power to create my own world because I can pick and choose not only how I can react in any given situation, but I can also pick and choose to keep in my treasure chest only those things that I love. How freeing is that? As my friend Jerry would say, "Holy crap!"
I've printed out this message and I have begun reading it every morning as well as every time I feel a step back. I encourage you to do the same with it, but only if it serves you - guilt is one thing that can ride our backs like a rabid monkey, so don't ever do anything out of guilt. For anyone who for whatever reason can not open the link, here is the message:
To: You
A step back is not a setback.
Sometimes you need to go back.
You go back because you have forgotten to bring something with you that you will need.
You go back because you have neglected to leave something behind that could limit your progress.
Going back is not a sign of failure, it is an opportunity to clarify where you are headed.
Taking a step back also allows you to see where you have been and to commit even more fully to where you are going.
When you find yourself back where you do not wish to be, grab what you need to take, leave what you need to leave and then take a step forward.
Love,
God
Connie - like Sheri and all of the people, mostly women, who's heart hears my heart, you make my day. Thank you for reading, thank you for sharing.

I read this this past week, and right now it is hitting home big time. I will also be printing this and putting it up to remember. Learning a new way of living life. A more positive life and realizing that I have control over where my life goes. Not complete control, but I can steer the ship which is something I really haven't done in life. I mostly reacted to life. Realizing that is not working the best for me. So thank you for all you write and the wonderful words you share. You are part of the improvements in my life. You are Amazing Grace!!!
